We use Adobe Audition 3.0 for all our audio, not only is it easy to use, it is very helpful while listening to the audio we get on our investigations. You can see exactly when sound spikes are approaching. There are only two filters we use, one is hiss reduction and the other is amplify. We do not like to taint audio with all other filters as it could degrade any possible evp you may have. I personally recommend this software to anyone that is interested in the audio part of evidence.
