We use various types of Night Vision Camera's to record video in the pitch black. Depending on the amount or IR's the camera has is how bright the video will turn out. This particular set is wireless with a remote. Although it is not the best of cams, it is great for the beginner or to those that do not want to spend a fortune on a set. We do not use these anymore unless we have an emergency and need more camera's or more illumination from the IR's.
You can purchase this set or a similar at Walmart, they have various pieces of home security systems that can fit the budget of anyone. I would also suggest doing a search on google for something that could be more affordable.
